MF Library Club
Tuesday Mar 9, 2010, 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM(This is a recurring event which started Tue 12/8/2009 and goes through Tue 12/28/2010 )
The Millers Falls Library Club is a free after school program that meets on Tuesdays from 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. The drop-in sessions are designed children of all ages. Children’s Librarian Linda Hickman runs the activities, which include stories, arts and crafts, games, and homework help, depending upon the participants’ ages and interests. Let’s Talk About . . . Talking to Your Child about Personal Safety with Anne Kaplan, local early childhood psychologist and parent. Touch is important to children. Touch communicates love, comfort, nurturing, and acceptance. It is important for children to know that most touches are safe and caring. It is also important for children to know that some touches are not okay. How can you initiate this subject? What words to use? How to make everyone feel safe and nurtured.
